A Masterpiece: It's YOU!

I spend much time in the airports of America. I usually leave in the early morning to reach my speaking destination for an evening meeting. After check in and security, I head to Starbucks for my morning coffee. I then settle in to whatever gate I depart from and begin my favorite pastime: “People Watching”. My fascination with America’s population is always concluded with the same message, “There is only one YOU”. No two creations look alike, think about that. Your face and features, your voice, your style, your background, your characteristics and pecularities, your abilities, your smile, your walk, your handshake, your manner of expression, your view point, everything about you is found in only one individual since man first began…YOU. How does that make you feel? Frankly, I’m elated.

Dig as deeply as you please in the ancient archives of mankind and you”ll not find another you in the whole lot. And that by the way did not “just happen”; it was planned that way. Why? Because God wanted you to be YOU, that’s why. He designed you to be a unique, distinct, significant person unlike any other individual, on this earth, throughout time. In your case as with all creation the mold was broken, never used again.

Psalm 139:
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body, and knit them together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous–and how well I know it. You were there while I was being formed in utter seclusion! You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Everyday was recorded in your Book”.

If I read this astounding statement correctly, you were perscribed and then presented to this world exactly as God arranged it. A perfect God makes no mistakes, your design was perfect. Yes, you are Significant, designed as a MASTERPIECE. Our parents don’t change this, our past does not change this, our failures do not change this, our relationships do not change this, our discouragement does not change this, Nothing can change your design.

So Now, this very moment, close your eyes and picture you and what you were designed to be, and meant to become. Your life, can change a world one person at a time. To be significant in the lives of others, you must believe in your own design and significance. We were all created to do Great things with our lives. We were created for “Great Purpose”. Accept this, live everyday claiming this truth, and your life will never be the same.

I really needed to read and hear this today- Thank you for putting a positive spin on today and giving hope and perseverance to what I need to do with myself- after hearing negative and processing the negative it becomes real but to hear positive is so comforting. again thank you

  2. Craig, This is exactly the kind of reminder that someone may need following a day of disappointments and seemingly fruitless effort. It’s a new day and each one of us has a new opportunity to go out into the world and try once again to accomplish his/her mission. Many will benefit from your words of encouragement.
